Beschreibung:

This workshop presents the MELISE Project (Media Literacy in Senior Education), an Erasmus+ initiative that enhances media competence, digital inclusion, and intergenerational dialogue among older adults. In an age of rising misinformation and digital exclusion, MELISE offers tailored tools and practices to help seniors critically engage with media and build resilience in everyday digital life.
Participants will experience selected training modules developed and tested across Europe, focusing on fake news detection, online safety, social media literacy, and disinformation resilience. These hands-on materials support confidence-building, encourage reflection, and promote active digital participation in later life.
The session will also open discussion on integrating age-specific media literacy into national strategies and educational frameworks. By highlighting seniors’ role in fostering informed democratic dialogue, the workshop demonstrates how media literacy strengthens both individual empowerment and social cohesion. A participatory and inclusive approach will ensure that all voices are heard and valued throughout the session.
